What is Canara Bank Customer ID

Customer ID is unique 9 digit number assigned to a customer of bank. You can have two accounts in bank, but the customer ID will always remain same. Even though you have different account numbers at different branches, the customer ID will remain same across the country in Canara Bank. It is same as CIF number with State Bank of India.

When a customer opens account with Canara Bank, he will receive account number and a unique customer ID associated with the account number. If you are opening current account, then you will receive two customer IDs. One each for your business name and your individual name.

Please note that User ID and Customer ID are same. So don’t get confused after registration, at the time of login you will be asked to enter User ID.

How to Find Canara Bank Customer ID for Saving Account

  1. The customer ID for saving account is easily accessible for the customer with the help of passbook.
  2. You can open the front page of passbook where you will find your name and account number printed at the top of the page.
  3. The customer ID will be present at the bottom left corner of the passbook as below

What to do if you don’t have passbook?

  1. If due to any reason you didn’t receive the passbook or lost it, then you can contact branch in person ask them your customer ID.
  2. Bank officials will first verify your identity, so you must carry a valid ID proof with you such as Aadhar Card.
  3. You can also give application for issuance of new passbook in case you have lost it.

The customer care executive will verify your identity with registered mobile number and account number details. After successful verification they will provide you with customer ID.

How to Find Canara Bank Customer ID for Current Account

  1. For current account customers, net banking kit will be delivered by post to their registered address. On the kit you will find your customer ID for registration of net banking.

  3. If due to any reason you have not received net banking kit, you can always visit the branch and ask the official for customer ID.

Note: Canara Bank Customer ID is NOT mentioned on welcome kit or cheque book issued to you in the branch at the time of account opening.

However, both the Current Account as well as Savings Account holders can find the Canara Bank customer ID on their cheque book if they have received it by post and their account name is printed on it.
