How to register for PNB Net banking online?
In order to access digital banking facilities provided by bank, it is important to get yourself registered with PNB net banking. Here is complete step by step manual for PNB net banking services.
PNB net banking for Retail Users
The customers who are operating with a normal account with bank are called as Retail customers. If you are having individual or saving bank account with Punjab National bank, then you are a Retail customer.

To proceed for net banking registration of Retail customer with PNB, follow the steps
Step 1: Visit PNB internet banking portal and select Retail Internet Banking as shown in the image below. pnbibanking.in/home.html
Step 2: On this page, click on ‘New User’ below user Id box.
Step 3: Enter your account number and select the Registration Type as ‘Register for Internet banking’. Click on ‘Verify’.
Step 4: Here you will have to enter the ‘Type of Facility’, & you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Continue’.
If you don’t receive OTP then you need to get your number registered for SMS facilities first and then proceed.
Step 5: Enter the ATM/Debit card details on this page and also enter the 4 digit pin number and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 6: In this step you have to set the Login password and Transaction password. Both passwords need to be unique to ensure safety and you have to enter them twice.
Step 7: Click on ‘Agree’ to terms and conditions and click on ‘Complete Registration’.
Successful completion of your registration your user ID will be displayed which should be noted down.
You can login with this user ID and Login Password that you created in Step 6.
After login, you will need to wait at least 24 to 28 hours to access the Punjab National Bank net banking facilities.
Internet Banking for Corporate Users Registration
The corporate Users or current account holders can’t activate PNB net banking facilities through online mode. You need to visit your home branch and fill the internet banking form. After duly filled form is submitted at the branch, you will receive the Corporate ID, Administrator ID, and password immediately.
How to Reset PNB Internet banking password
Resetting password for net banking can be a hectic procedure. To reset the password of your PNB net backing account, visit the login page.
Step 1: Enter your User Id and click on ‘Continue’
Step 2: Below the password box click on ‘Forgot Password?’ link.
Step 3: Enter the User ID and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 4: On your registered mobile number with the bank, you will receive an OTP. Enter the OTP and again click on Continue.
Step 5: On the next page, you have to enter your
- ATM/Debit card number which is a 16 digit number present on the front of card.
- Account number
- 4 digit ATM pin number
Click on ‘Continue’.
Step 6: Here you have to enter new password for login. In case you have forgotten your transaction password as well then you can change that too here.
Click on ‘Continue’.
After successful completion of the process, you can once again start using PNB net banking services by logging in with new password.
How to Login to PNB Internet Banking for the first time
Once you have completed your net banking registration. On the first login you will have enter some details to ensure your account is more secured. For ‘Retail Users’ follow the similar process to login as mentioned above.
Step 1: Enter the User ID or Customer ID and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 2: Enter the Login password that was set and click on ‘Login’. Accept all the terms and conditions.
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and submit.
Step 3: Here you have to select security questions. You must select any 7 questions. This is to ensure security of your account.
Note that it is important for you to remember these questions as well as the answers to them.
Step 4: Click on ‘Submit’ to login.
Internet banking Login for Corporate Users
Visit the net banking portal for Corporate Users.
Follow the similar steps as in case of Retail user. For the first login, you will receive the OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP and continue.
In this case too, you need to select seven questions as mentioned for retail users above.
After first login, the corporate user is mandatorily required to change their password.

All you need to do is to add the person as beneficiary in your net banking account, after the beneficiary is added, select their name and enter amount that you want to send confirm by entering password, and your money is transferred with single click.
FD/RD accounts: Customers can perform almost all the banking transaction by sitting at their home. If you want to invest your money in Fixed Deposit all at once, or you want to save small portion of amount every single month through Recurring Deposit, you can do it online.
Stop Payment: In case you lost a cheque leaf with or without your signature on it, you can stop the payment for that particular cheque through net banking.
Account Balance: Customers can keep real-time track of their account’s status. You can download the statement for your account, inquire for balance and also check status of online transaction.
Payment of Credit Card Bill on the PNB Internet Banking Portal
PNB offers many online services to their customers. The account holders can pay their credit card bills using Net Banking portal. This can be done in case the credit card is issued to the same account on which you are enjoying net banking facility. Auto debit facility is also available for PNB credit card holders through net banking.

No. You can’t use net banking facility without ATM Card.

The user ID is same as Customer ID, which you can find on your bank passbook.

You can login to your PNB Net banking account, however, you won’t be able to perform money transfer related transactions. You need to visit the bank and change your mobile number as soon as possible.
