1. Closing bank account

In case you are closing the bank account which is already linked with PhonePe, there is no point to keep your account linked on this app.

2. Fraud related to your PhonePe account

There are plenty cases arising nowadays regarding UPI frauds. If you unfortunately have been part of such UPI fraud, then it is wise to unlink your account from PhonePe.

3. Not comfortable adapting new technology

How to Remove Bank Account Linked to PhonePe Permanently

Step 1: Open your PhonePe account

Step 2: Select My Money at the bottom

Step 3: Select ‘Bank Accounts’ under Payment section

Step 4: Select the Bank Account that you want to remove permanently from PhonePe

Step 5: On the next screen you will see details of the account that you selected.

Now scroll down to bottom on that page where you will see “UNLINK BANK ACCOUNT” as shown in below image

Step 6: You will see a new message pop up as below, with two options as ‘CANCEL’ and ‘UNLINK’

Select ‘UNLINK‘ option

You have now successfully removed your Bank Account linked to PhonePe.
