What is Transaction Password?

Bank of India will be provide two type of login password for their customers. First is login password and another is transaction password. The login password used for accessing internet banking account , whereas transaction password is used for making changes in net banking profile or to get the details of internet banking.

Basically transaction password used when you have to add third party nominee in order to transfer fund OR transfering RTGS & NEFT amount to other bank account.

How to Regenerate/Reset Bank of India(BOI) Transaction Password

You can generate BOI transaction password online, for that you need BOI net banking account. After you login to internet banking you can easily reset transaction password.

Step 1 : Visit the official Bank of India Net banking portal www.bankofindia.co.in

Step 2: On the home page, you will get Internet banking option. Click on Login and select Personal option.

Step 3: Once you login to net banking, on the home page you will get many banking option. Click on the ‘Option’ menu.

Step 4: New page will be opened, you have to click on ‘Regenerate Transaction Password’.

Step 5: Now you will received OTP on your register mobile number. Enter the OTP on the screen, Click on the Continue button.

Step 6: In the next step, you have to enter your debit card number, expiry date, ATM PIN and click on the Continue button.

Step 7: Now you have to enter new transaction password, re-enter the same password and continue further.

A new window pop-up with message that your BOI transaction password successfully reset. Also you will get SMS on register mobile number.

How to Regenerate Bank of India(BOI) Transaction Password using Star Tokan App

This is another method through which you can reset BOI transaction password. In this method, you will need mobile banking app i.e StarTokan. Using this app you can do any banking transaction or activities as per your convenience.

Step 1: Download the Star Token App from Google play store.

Step 2: After downloading you have to activate StarTokan mobile app. The bank will provide your user ID through courier, enter your user ID and submit it.

Step 3: Now you have to enter your OTP which you receive through registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on submit button.

Step 4: In the next step, you have to select the secret question and it’s answer. Also set your mobile banking PIN and click on submit button.

Step 5: Now your StarTokan app is activated, on the home screen you will see various option. Click on ‘Change Secret‘ option.

Step 6: A new window will be open in that you have to enter your PIN & transaction password. Re-enter your transaction password and submit it.

Step 7: Now click on ‘Star Connect‘ option to activate your transaction password for fund transfer. Enter your user ID and transaction password and click on ‘Login‘.

Step 8: Once you login, on the home screen click on ‘Request‘ option and select ‘StarTokan NG Request‘.

Step 9: Now you have enter your user ID, mobile number, pasword and click on submit button. After completing the procedure, you will get new message on the screen that your transaction password activated.

Using StarTokan mobile banking app, you will manage banking transaction and activities in your mobile phone. On home page from main menu click on ‘Quick Banking’ option. You can do balance enquiry, fund transfer, sync account with other account.
