How to Download HDFC RTGS/NEFT Form

You can download RTGS/NEFT Form from HDFC bank’s official website. Form used for both types of transactions is same. You can also download this form directly using given link

How to Fill up HDFC RTGS Form?

Now this is the second part of the process. You can see there are multiple fields. Here is how a complete RTGS form looks like

First we will see how to fill up the beneficiary details

Suppose, you want to send amount of INR 250,000 to Mr. ABC, who will be your beneficiary in this form. Mr. ABC has account in Canara Bank at Cuffe Parade Branch, Mumbai.

Here is how you fill up all the details in the RTGS Form

Branch Code/Name: Your Branch Name
Date:
Time:

Tick on the RTGS box. Write down the Cheque No. which will be mentioned at the bottom of cheque in double quotes. Refer the cheque above the cheque number is “00000” & write down the amount Rs. 250,000.

Beneficiary Name: Mr. ABC
Beneficiary Account Number: (Account Number of Mr. ABC)
Beneficiary Account Number: (Account Number of Mr. ABC)
Beneficiary Address: Mumbai
Beneficiary Bank Name & Branch: Canara Bank, Cuffe Parade
Beneficiary Bank IFSC Code: CNRB0000XXXX
Amount (in figures) to be credited: 250,000
Amount (in words) to be credited: Two Lakh Fifty Thousand Rupees Only

Note that you have to write down the account number of beneficiary two times, in order to ensure accuracy. This completes the Beneficiary details part of our RTGS form. Next will be Remitter Details. This is part where you have to fill up the information about yourself.

Fill up all the details regarding your account in this part.

Remitter Name: Your Name
Remitter Account Number: Your HDFC Account Number
Cash Deposited (Non HDFC Bank Customer): Leave this Blank if you have HDFC bank Account
Mobile/Phone Number of Remitter (Mandatory): Your Phone number Email ID: Your Email ID
Address of the Remitter (Mandatory for Non-HDFC bank customer): You may leave this blank
Remarks: You may state the purpose of fund transfer transaction.

After completely filling up details, sign above 1st Signatory if you have sole owner account. If there are more than one signatories then sign on the form accordingly.

How to Fill up HDFC NEFT Form

National Electronic Fund Transfer, allows you to easily send money. You can use NEFT transaction for amount which is lesser than INR 200,000.

The process for filling up the form is similar to RTGS form. Go through all the steps mentioned above for filling up HDFC RTGS formYou only need to change the amount.

How to fill up HDFC cheque for RTGS?

Suppose you want to remit amount of INR 250,000. So this fund transfer transaction qualifies under RTGS transaction. Here is how you will fill up the cheque:

  1. Write ‘Yourself for RTGS‘ in front of Pay on the cheque as shown in the below image.
  2. Write the amount in the next line, so you will have to write ‘Two lakh fifty thousand rupees only’.
  3. Fill the amount in figures in the box provided so write ‘250,000’

You must ensure the date on cheque is correctly filled.

How to Fill up HDFC NEFT Cheque

Suppose you want to remit amount of INR 50,000. So this fund transfer transaction qualifies under NEFT transaction. Here is how you will fill up the cheque:

  1. Write ‘Yourself for NEFT‘ in front of Pay on the cheque as shown in the below image.
  2. Write the amount in the next line, so you will have to write ‘Fifty thousand rupees only’.
  3. Fill the amount in Number in the box provided so write ‘50,000’
  4. Sign above authroised signatory.

Again you have to ensure the date is filled up correctly in dd/mm/yy format.

HDFC RTGS Form & Timings

The amount will be sent in real time which means, that the amount that you are sending using RTGS mode will be settled as it is processed in the system. You need to fill up a cheque and a RTGS form provided by HDFC in order to perform RTGS transaction from your account.

RBI recently released circular regarding the timings of RTGS which is now increased to 7 am to 6 pm. Hence the new timings will be as follows.

Open for Business: 7 am
Customer transactions (Initial Cut-off): 6 pm
Inter-bank transactions (Final Cut-off): 7.45 pm
Intra-day liquidity (IDL) Reversal: 7.45 pm to 8.00 pm
End of Day: 8.00 pm
(Note: Kindly refer latest timings below)

Update: As per latest guidelines by RBI from 14 December 2020, the Real Time Gross Settlement System was made available 24x7x365.

  1. I want to know that if i fill check front side then if i fill only NEFT IN front of pay in lieu of yourself to neft then it is correct or not

    1. You may write ‘Yourself’ in front of NEFT. For example NEFT [Yourself]. However, there are no concrete set of rules in banks, so you may just submit the same cheque.

  2. In cheque we need to write amount with included bank charges or not what I mean is for example 50000 i need to transfer on cheque i should write 50000 only or included bank charges or neft charges(100rs) 50100 rs on cheque

  3. If I write “Mr Friend’s name like Ram Kumar” on check instead of “yourself for NEFT/RTGS” then can I transfer my money through this cheque by NEFT/RTGS on visiting bank offline?
